Introduction: OnePlus Pad 2 And OnePlus Watch 2R Review

OnePlus has recently expanded its tablet lineup in India with the launch of the OnePlus Pad 2, the successor to the OnePlus Pad. This new tablet arrives with a sleek, premium design and some impressive features. According to OnePlus, the OnePlus Pad 2 is one of the best tablets currently available on the market. To verify these claims, we’ve tested the device extensively to assess its performance and usability. Here, we share a comprehensive review of the OnePlus Pad 2, detailing our experiences and insights.

OnePlus Pad 2 Price in India

The OnePlus Pad 2 is priced competitively in the Indian market, with the base variant starting at Rs 39,999 and the top-end variant priced at Rs 42,999. The tablet is available in a Nimbus Gray color option, offering 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations. In our view, the pricing is competitive compared to other options in the market.

OnePlus Pad 2: Sleek Premium Design and Display

The OnePlus Pad 2 stands out with its clean, sleek, and premium design, coupled with a large display. The tablet comes with various accessories, including keyboards and an SPen. It features a unique design with curved sides, except for one flat edge that accommodates stylus charging. The tablet boasts a large 12.1-inch display and a flat metal back that curves elegantly towards the edges.

The OnePlus Pad 2 features a 12.1-inch 3K display with a sharp resolution of 3,000 x 2,120 pixels. It offers an adaptive refresh rate of 144 Hz and a pixel density of 304 ppi, outperforming the iPad Air’s 264 ppi. The display ensures crisp and smooth visuals, with a peak brightness of 900 nits, making it easy to view even in bright environments.

Hardwar

At the core of the OnePlus Pad 2 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the same flagship processor found in the Galaxy S24 Ultra, ensuring top-tier performance. The tablet is available in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB configurations, with LPDDR5X RAM. However, it’s important to note that the storage is UFS 3.1, which is a step down from the latest UFS 4.0 standard.

Camera and Battery

The OnePlus Pad 2 is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, offering solid imaging capabilities. Audio performance is enhanced by six built-in speakers, though the absence of a headphone jack may be a drawback for some users. The tablet is powered by a robust 9,510 mAh battery, supporting 67W fast charging, and unlike many devices today, it includes a charger in the box.

Performance Verdict

If you’re in the market for a tablet to serve as a secondary device or as an extension of your workstation, the OnePlus Pad 2 is an excellent choice. It’s lightweight, powerful, and delivers impressive clarity and sound. Similar to the OnePlus Nord 4, it offers many flagship features without the flagship price tag.

OnePlus Watch 2R Review

OnePlus Watch 2R

We also tested the newly launched OnePlus Watch 2R alongside the OnePlus Pad 2. The wearable features a redesigned dial, easily removable straps, dual push buttons, and more. The OnePlus Watch 2R boasts a sleek, premium design with subtle updates compared to the OnePlus Watch 2, which launched earlier this year. It maintains its impressive 46mm size as the only available option. The watch is available in two stylish colors—Forest Green and Gunmetal Gray—and is priced at Rs 17,999.

One of the standout features of the OnePlus Watch 2R is its impressive battery life. According to OnePlus, the watch offers between 48 and 100 hours of use on a single charge, depending on usage. With GPS, always-on display, and various fitness features active, we achieved over 2.5 days of battery life. When it’s time to recharge, the Watch 2R can go from 0% to 100% in just one hour.

For Android users seeking a mid-range smartwatch with outstanding battery longevity, the OnePlus Watch 2R is a top contender. It’s worth visiting a store to experience it firsthand before making your purchase.
