Apple September Event 2024
Apple’s highly anticipated September event is just around the corner. Scheduled for September 9 with the tagline “It’s Glowtime,” this event will showcase some exciting new devices. Apple fans can look forward to the unveiling of the iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple AirPods 4. Additionally, there may be updates on Apple’s AI platform, Apple Intelligence, as artificial intelligence continues to dominate tech discussions.
iPhone 16
The highlight of the event will be the release of the iPhone 16 series. Rumors suggest that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will have similar sizes to the current models, while the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will feature slightly larger screens, at 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively. The new models are expected to have thinner bezels and introduce the Action Button, a customizable shortcut button, across the entire iPhone 16 lineup. This feature was previously available only on the higher-end iPhone 15 Pro models.

The iPhone 16 Pro may also include solid-state buttons, offering haptic feedback without physically moving parts. Camera upgrades are expected as well, with a new stacked design for better performance, anti-reflective coatings to reduce lens flare, and a 5X telephoto zoom on the 16 Pro series. Additionally, the ultrawide camera might jump from 12MP to 48MP. The iPhone 16 Pro could also offer up to 2TB of storage and introduce a new “Desert Titanium” color option.
Apple Watch Series 10
The Apple Watch Series 10 is expected to bring larger screen sizes, with 45mm and 49mm options, making it similar in size to the Apple Watch Ultra. There are also rumors that this version will be thinner than previous models. A new magnetic system for attaching watch bands could be introduced, though it’s unclear if it will be ready for this series or a future version.
Apple Watch Ultra 3
While the Apple Watch Ultra 3 may be announced, it is not expected to have major design changes. It could offer more case color options and a new chip, but overall, it seems similar to its 2022 version. Apple is reportedly working on new health features for both the Watch and Watch Ultra, such as blood pressure monitoring, sleep apnea detection, and glucose monitoring, but legal challenges have delayed their release.
Apple AirPods 4
Apple is also expected to introduce the AirPods 4, replacing the AirPods 3 and 2 with mid-range and entry-level options. These new AirPods may come with updated designs, new color options, and USB-C charging. The mid-range version is rumored to have active noise cancellation, which was previously only available on the AirPods Pro.
AirPods Pro 3
There is some speculation that Apple may reveal the AirPods Pro 3 at the event. These new Pro models are rumored to feature improved noise cancellation. However, some reports suggest the AirPods Pro refresh might not arrive until 2024.
iPad Mini 7
Apple may also release the iPad Mini 7 later this year. Apple analyst Mark Gurman has pointed out that many Apple stores are running low on stock of the current iPad Mini, which could be a sign that a new model is coming soon. While it might not be revealed at the September event, it is expected sometime in 2024.
